Ben Hoffman started his career while purchasing distressed real estate debt during the 2008 financial crisis. While the market rebounded, he decided to hone his expertise in real estate by joining the renowned team at Fortunate International Realty where he specialized in commercial real estate and became one of the top commercial brokers in the firm. His subsequent ventures within the real estate sector led him to roles at Gridics, a Miami-based zoning code and real estate development software; and Sonder, a venture-backed hospitality startup, where he led real estate acquisitions in South Florida.

With a shared passion for hospitality, Hoffman is also part owner of the Toronto-based hospitality brand, The Annex, where he taps his experience in commercial real estate and underwriting to acquire and manage other hotel properties.

Hoffman is also the co-founder of Paradigm 01, a real estate consulting company that provides consulting services for real estate projects; and NEXT Development Group, an affordable workforce and housing development venture that has successfully developed several projects including high-rises, mid-rises, garden-style apartment buildings and single-family homes.

In his spare time, Hoffman is an avid wakeboarder and will find any excuse to get out on the water.
